In Brief: MoneyZap Connects with Ticketmaster

ATLANTA — Western Union Financial Services Inc., a subsidiary of First Data Corp., has agreed to link its MoneyZap person-to-person service with Ticketmaster.com to help ticket buyers divide costs.

Western Union and Ticketmaster.com say the instant connection will help people request payment from friends or family members after they have purchased tickets. For example, someone buying tickets for large groups could divide the ticket cost, send a MoneyZap money request, and then settle up through a money transfer.

Ticketmaster will provide a link to the MoneyZap service on Ticketmaster.com as well as other sites in the Ticketmaster network, including Citysearch, Match.com, Livedaily.com, and CityAuction.com.
