DAYTON, Ohio Webster Bank has awarded NCR Corp. a five-year contract for check-imaging services.
The contract includes a stipulation that allows Webster to bring check processing back in-house, using NCRs software platform, before the contract expires. We were concerned with being locked into a long-term outsourcing contract, said David Lentini, senior vice president of Webster.
The $11 billion-asset bank, based in Waterbury, Conn., will use NCRs recognition and power-encoding software, check-imaging system, and image storage and retrieval services.
It will also provide its corporate clients with NCRs image-based account reconciliation processing and cash management services.
