BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Internet bank Nexity has begun offering individual retirement account certificates of deposit with annual percentage yields of 6.9% on one-year certificates and 6.95% on two- and three-year products.
Features include FDIC insurance for deposits of up to $100,000, high rates on investments, and online account access, and there are no administrative fees.
Customers can start individual retirement accounts at Nexity, roll over existing ones, or roll over funds from an existing qualified plan.
Nexity Bank was started in February. It has deposits of $135 million and assets of $155 million.
