New York Life Investment Management LLC of Parsippany, N.J., has hired two BlackRock Financial Management directors and an Allmerica Financial Corp. executive as directors in its retail investment business.
The BlackRock veterans are Michael Coffey, a former pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, and Christopher Parisi.
Mr. Coffey will be the director of distribution strategies. He held a number of sales positions at BlackRock, including national accounts manager and associate national sales manager.
Mr. Parisi will be the sales manager for the company's northern region. He was a divisional sales manager at BlackRock and earlier held sales jobs at Federated Investors Securities Corp.
Phillip Gazzo was the chief executive of Allmerica's VeraVest Investment Advisors Inc. and, earlier, the president of Allmerica Select Distributors. He will be the divisional sales manager for the southern region and will be responsible for managing sales of the MainStay Funds and the New York Life unit's separately managed accounts and CollegeSense 529 college savings plan.
