HARTFORD, Conn. - Nathaniel Brinn has joined HSB Group Inc., a specialty insurance company, as business development officer.
He will focus on acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities for HSB and will report to Richard H. Booth, chairman, president, and chief executive officer.
Mr. Brinn was senior vice president, strategic development and president of Phoenix StrategicCapital Corp., a subsidiary of Phoenix Home Life. While there he also held the post of managing director and was responsible for negotiating and managing a portfolio of privately placed bonds and oil/gas investments.
Before joining Phoenix in 1992 he was vice president of CIBC Capital Markets USA, where he was involved in all aspects of marketing, structuring, pricing, and closing transactions in the institutional private placement market.
