Phoenix Advisors LLC announced Wednesday that it will offer financial advisory services to municipalities and school districts as well as to state, county, and municipal authorities and special taxing districts.

The Bordentown, N.J., company said it will offer advice, consultation, and management services in debt structuring, restructuring, and issuance. It is to focus initially on New Jersey but plans eventually to serve clients from Boston to Virginia.
The company has hired David B. Thompson to lead the advisory services group. He was a senior vice president at Commerce Capital Markets.
