In Brief: Procter & Gamble Taps BillingZone's EBPP

PITTSBURGH - Procter & Gamble Distributing Co. will use BillingZone's business-to-business electronic bill payment and presentment service, the billing company and its joint venture partner, PNC Bank, have announced.

P&G, which markets consumer goods such as Tide detergent and Crest toothpaste, is to use BillingZone to deliver invoices to and receive payment from its corporate trading partners over the Internet.

PNC Bank and Perot Systems Corp. launched BillingZone in March 2000 as a joint venture. Its offerings are marketed to PNC's business customers and to customers of other banks.
