Standard Insurance Co. of Portland, Ore., is offering a package of services for pension consulting firms, third-party administrators, and other providers of retirement plan services to offer to employers.
Until now the StanCorp Financial Group Inc. unit has offered its services - record keeping, fund management, and registered investment advisory services - only to employers. It offers investment options through 26 mutual fund families and provides full-service products as well as just record keeping.
The new service, called Standard Advisor Partner and announced Tuesday, was created to expand distribution and create sales opportunities, said Jeff Hallin, a spokesman.
StanCorp's other subsidiary, Standard Life Insurance Co. of New York, offers group and individual disability insurance.
