Sun Life Financial U.S. said it had hired Kevin J. Hart to be president of MFS/Sun Life Financial Distributors Inc.; he will begin the new job Sept. 1.
MFS/Sun Life Financial Distributors -- a joint venture between Sun Life Financial U.S. and MFS Investment Management -- distributes variable and fixed annuities and equity-indexed products issued by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.S.).
Mr. Hart is to report to Bob Salipante, the president of Sun Life Financial U.S., and Martin Beaulieu, the executive vice president and director of global distribution at MFS Investment Management, Sun Life said on Monday. He previously was the chief executive officer and president of SunAmerica Financial Network Inc., overseeing sales, marketing, operations, technology, and client services.
At the end of the second quarter, the Sun Life Financial group of companies had $276.3 billion of assets under management.
