In Brief: Tally-Ho in Deal for Swiss Firm Protrust

Tally-Ho Ventures Inc. has announced an agreement to buy Protrust Private Clients SA, a Swiss private-client manager, for up to $8 million.

Protrust manages $1.4 billion of assets for high-net-worth investors. The deal, which was announced on Monday, would complement the New York company's purchases of the Belgravia-Intervest and Master Finance Europe wealth management groups.

Tally-Ho Ventures is an independent, private wealth management organization focused on serving expatriates, small institutions, and high net-worth investors. It has 13 offices and operates in 23 countries.

Protrust was established in 1992 as a trust company before becoming a private-client-services company in 1996. It offers discretionary management services for the assets of high-net-worth investors, corporations, and trusts in jurisdictions that include Italy, Switzerland, and the Far East.
