TD Banknorth Inc. in Portland, Maine, announced Thursday that it had closed its purchase of Boothby & Bartlett Co., an insurance agency in Waterville, Maine.
The deal expands the presence of TD Banknorth Insurance Agency Inc. in central Maine, the company said. The banking company's insurance subsidiary has more than 10,000 customers served from five offices in southern and coastal Maine.
