DES MOINES Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., has named Jim Gala senior vice president of loan servicing.
He is to run the San Bernardino, Calif., servicing center that the unit recently bought from GE Capital Mortgage Services.
Mr. Gala, a 15-year mortgage veteran, was vice president and general manager of Pro-Business Services tax division. Before that he was senior vice president of operations for the home improvement-lending unit of Money Store, now a subsidiary of First Union Corp.
He has also worked at First Nationwide Bank, a unit of Ford Financial Services, as well as at Household International and Ernst & Young.
