Chittenden Corp. is moving to the Big Board.

The Burlington, Vt., banking company said its stock would begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange Feb. 18. Chittenden, with about $2 billion of assets, currently trades on the Nasdaq market.

"By moving to the New York Stock Exchange, our stock will have greater visibility, improved liquidity, and less price volatility," said Paul A. Perrault, Chittenden's president and chief executive officer.
