In Brief: Wachovia to Install Argo Software

DALLAS — Argo Data Resource Corp. has agreed to install its sales and service automation software in Wachovia Corp.’s 2,800 branches.

Jim Spicer, Wachovia’s senior vice president of retail banking and director of technology, said last week that it chose Argo for its leadership and best practices in retail technology. The banking company hopes to use the software to instill a consistent customer experience in its branches and deepen its sales culture, he said.

Argo’s retail software includes automation tools as well as management support systems to maximize employee sales and service.
