In Briefs: Capitol One's Debt Gets an A-Minus Rating

Capital One Bank's long-term debt has received an A-minus rating fron Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co.

The rating agency noted "very solid performance" by the bank, which is the principal subsidiary of Capital One Financial Corp. But Duff also pointed out that Capital One is "a monoline business in a very competitive segment of the financial services industry, credit cards."

Duff assigned a D-1 rating to Capital One's short term obligations.
