ING Investment Management Americas, a New York unit of the Dutch financial services company ING Group NV, hired Chet Ragavan as its chief risk officer.
He will report to Robert Leary, the unit's chairman and CEO.
Mr. Ragavan had been a managing director and co-head of the portfolio analytics group for BlackRock Solutions since its merger with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He had worked for Merrill Lynch since 1980.
ING Investment Management Americas, which announced the hiring Monday, has $224 billion of assets under management.
