To automate customer service operations, Pegasystems Inc. has released its latest version of expert-based software that can function interactively with operators.

It features a so-called configurable clipboard, which captures and stores information as it is received from customers in natural conversation or automatically from various production data bases.

The new release also allows customer service representatives to gather pertinent information about the customer on one screen.

The price depends on the number of subsystems needed and the number of users. Pegasystems, based in Cambridge, Mass., develops expert systems designed for customer service processing.
