Global investor confidence rose 12.1 points in January, to 60.3, from a month earlier, according to State Street Global Markets, State Street Corp.'s investment research and trading arm.
North American institutional investors' confidence rose 21.2 points, to 51.8, from December's record low.
European institutional investors' confidence reading rose 6.7 points, to 73.0, while that of Asian investors fell 0.3 points, to 86.3.
The latest State Street Investor Confidence Index was released last week. The survey analyzes institutional investors' buying and selling patterns.
