State officials are considering budget cuts of up to 3% for some state agencies to help make up for anticipated losses in revenues caused by the floods that have deluged the state.

The state has reduced its estimates for revenue growth in fiscal 1994 by $43 million, said Richard Vohs, press secretary for Gov. Terry Branstad. State officials are considering selective budget cuts because they do not want to tap the state's anticipated fiscal 1994 yearend balance, Vohs said.
