KeyCorp Cuts Quarterly Profit by $24 Million on Accounting Error

KeyCorp, Ohio's second-biggest bank, reduced third-quarter profit by $24 million after discovering an accounting error tied to securitization trusts.

Net income for the three months ended Sept. 30 was $180 million, the Cleveland-based bank said today in a regulatory filing.
