The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants said its survey found that Americans' most pressing financial concerns were escalating energy costs, retirement, and education.

Twenty-four percent of the 1,026 respondents said they were considering a second or part-time job to help meet expenses. Last year 16% said they were contemplating getting a second job.

The phone survey was conducted March 5 to 9 by Harris Interactive. The report was released Wednesday.
