Lehman Brothers Names New CEO For France

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Lehman Brothers (LEH) has appointed Xavier Rolet as chiefexecutive of the firm in France, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

He replaces Guillaume d'Hauteville, who was appointed vice chairman ofEuropean investment banking in January.

Rolet will relocate to Paris from London, where he has been head of seniorrelationship management for Europe since 2003. He will report to Jeremy Isaacs,Lehman's chief executive in Europe and Asia, and will remain a member of thefirm's European Operating Committee.

Since joining Lehman in 2000, Rolet has worked in a variety of roles includingco-head of global equity trading. Most recently, he focused on strengthening thefirm's relationships with targeted corporate and institutional clients in Europe. Rolet serves as chairman of the Strategic Advisory Group of the LondonStock Exchange and is a member of its Rules Advisory Committee.

He is also a member of the Conseil d'Orientation of Euronext Paris, theEuropean Securities Markets Expert Group of the European Commission, and amember of the French government's Strategic Council for Attractiveness, whichbrings together some 20 chief executives and senior business leaders from largeFrench and foreign companies to share their thoughts on the competitiveness ofthe French economy.
