Mariner Wealth Advisors of Leawood, Kan., has acquired CBIZ Wealth Management of Cleveland, an individual wealth management firm formerly associated with CBIZ Inc.
The group joining Mariner from CBIZ includes 24 individual wealth management consultants in Cumberland, Md.; Denver; Kansas City, Mo.; Los Angeles; New York; Philadelphia; and San Diego. They joined Mariner Jan. 1.
With the acquisition, which was announced Monday, Mariner has 270 wealth advisers. Each of the CBIZ individual wealth management group's offices will be rebranded under the Mariner name within a year.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
Mariner has $8 billion of assets under management. It offers multigenerational wealth planning, private equity and real estate opportunities, asset management, risk management and family-office management. CBIZ provides professional business services and financial services, including accounting, internal audit, merger and acquisition advisory and valuation services.
