Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. promoted Hugh O'Toole to senior vice president in charge of national sales and distribution for the company's retirement services division.
Mr. O'Toole, 43, is to lead the distribution of the company's entire product and services lineup by the retirement services division's sales team, the company said on Monday. He joined MassMutual in December as a vice president, northeast division sales manager, and national nonprofit market leader. Most recently he was the company's interim head of distribution.
With more than 20 years of experience in retirement and benefit solutions, Mr. O'Toole is a former partner of Professional Pensions Inc., which was sold to Principal Financial Group in 1999. As part of the sale, he was retained by Principal as corporate vice president of nonprofit solutions, to expand its nonprofit business.
MassMutual had more than $500 billion of assets under management at Dec. 31.
