Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched the Morgan Stanley Global Long/Short Fund, an alternative investment fund of hedge funds that offers a diversified, institutional-quality portfolio of long/short equity hedge funds to eligible individual investors and small institutional clients.
The fund gives investors access to long/short hedge funds for a minimum investment of $100,000, the Morgan Stanley unit said last week. The fund will invest in about 20 to 25 long/short equity hedge funds.
Morgan Stanley Investment Management, which is based in New York, had $597 billion of assets under management or supervision as of Nov. 30.
