The banking and credit union trade associations in Washington are not known to see eye to eye very often.
But they do sometimes swap staff.
The National Association of Federal Credit Unions last week announced that Karen Tyson, formerly senior vice president of communications at the Independent Community Bankers of America, will help oversee NAFCU's communications shop starting Sept. 1.
She is succeeding Jay Morris, who plans to leave the credit union group to start a public relations consulting firm.
Before the ICBA, Tyson's 20-plus years working for financial trade associations also included stints at the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.
