The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. announced on Oct. 18 that Craig Jarvill has become the director of the agency's Division of Finance.

Jarvill has been the division's acting director since this past January, and has served as deputy director of financial operations since May 2010.
Before his work in the Division of Finance, Jarvill spent 11 years working on resolutions, actively participating in over 50 bank closings. He began his career with the FDIC in 1983, working in Chicago in the FDIC's then-Division of Liquidation.
