New Hampshire Thrift Bancshares Adopts Lake Sunapee Name

New Hampshire Thrift Bancshares in Newport has changed its name to Lake Sunapee Bank Group.

Shareholders in the $1.5 billion-asset holding company for Lake Sunapee Bank approved the name change at their annual meeting on May 14. The company began trading under its new ticker, LSBG, today.

As part of its name change, the company increased the number of authorized shares of its common stock from 10 million to 30 million.

Lake Sunapee Bank operates 36 branches in New Hampshire and Vermont.
