Columbia Management Group LLC, Bank of America Corp.'s mutual fund arm, has hired Toby Cromwell as its head of global consultant relations.
Mr. Cromwell, a 22-year industry veteran, will manage a team of professionals dedicated to improving relationships with external investment consulting firms.
He will report to Michael A. Jones, Columbia's president, until a new head of distribution is named.
Mr. Cromwell managed institutional marketing, sales, and consultant relations at Ashfield Capital Partners LLC. Previously, he was part of Robeco Investment management's consultant relations team and led the institutional marketing, sales, and client service efforts for Transamerica Investment Management LLC.
Columbia, which announced the hiring last week, had $709.9 billion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
