New York Life Retirement Plan Services hired William R. Kline as vice president of sales for the Southeast.

Mr. Kline, 43, is based in Raleigh and will be in charge of expanding New York Life Investment Management LLC division's 401(k) and defined benefit platforms and their distribution in the region.
He was a managing director for CapTrust Financial Advisors in Raleigh. Before that he had been a national sales manager for Wachovia Corp.
New York Life Retirement Plan Services oversaw more than 2,100 comprehensive defined contribution, defined benefit, and deferred compensation plans with more than 854,000 participants as of March 31.
