Old National in Ind. Names National Guard Officer to Board

Old National Bancorp in Evansville, Ind., has named National Guard officer Katherine White to its board.

The $12.1 billion-asset company did not indicate if White is filling a board vacancy, or if the board was expanded for her seat.

White, 48, is a lieutenant colonel in the Michigan Army National Guard and law professor at Wayne State University in Detroit. She is also a University of Michigan regent and the command judge advocate for the 46th Military Police Command in Lansing, Mich.

"It is exceedingly rare to encounter an individual who has gained such an amazing breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise as Katherine White," Larry Dunigan, Old National's chairman, said in a news release.

White has served on Old National's advisory board for the Central Michigan region since 2014. She was previously a market board member for United Bank & Trust in Ann Arbor, Mich. Old National acquired the $919 million-asset United Bank last year.
