PreCash Inc. announced Monday that it has added the ability to fund its prepaid debit cards with Green Dot Corp.'s MoneyPaks.
PreCash, of Houston, said its users were already able to fund their cards by direct deposit. Through the deal with Green Dot, users can now buy the Monrovia, Calif., company's MoneyPak products at various retailers to add funds between paychecks.
"Providing more convenient options to reload cards through the Green Dot Reload Network will be a great added benefit for PreCash customers," Todd Brockman, the president of Galileo Processing Inc., PreCash's processor, said in a press release.
To encourage use of this new funding method, PreCash is offering its users a rebate for their first use of a MoneyPak. Those who use a MoneyPak by yearend will have the reload fee refunded as a statement credit for their first use.
