Prudential Financial Inc.'s group insurance business hired Peter Bandarenko as its advanced markets sales director, a newly created position overseeing universal life, executive carve-out life, retiree life buyouts, pooling, and captive reinsurance sales.

He will report to David Brooker, the vice president of the advanced markets group. Mr. Bandarenko was a senior vice president of sales and marketing for Dye & Eskin, an insurance and consulting firm specializing in executive benefits.
Prudential, of Newark, N.J., announced the hiring Monday.
