Putnam Investments has put Jenny S. Morton in charge of its global consultant relations.

The Boston company announced her promotion Wednesday.
Ms. Morton is based in London and has worked at Putnam since 2005 as the director of consultant relations for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Before that she had been the head of global consultant relations at Fidelity Investments from 2000 to 2005. Earlier she had been the head of consultant relations for Boston Partners Asset Management, and the head of consultant relations at Boston Co.
Putnam had $186 billion of assets under management, including $112 billion managed for mutual fund investors and $74 billion for institutional investors, as of Dec. 31.
