Putnam Investments hired two equity fund managers, Nick C. Thakore and Robert D. Ewing, as managing directors and portfolio managers with its large-cap equities team.
Mr. Thakore, 41, is the portfolio manager for the Putnam Voyager Fund, and Mr. Ewing, 40, is the Putnam Fund for Growth and Income portfolio manager.
Mr. Thakore and Mr. Ewing will join the Boston company Nov. 3 from RiverSource Investments, formerly American Express Funds. Both have also worked for Fidelity Investments.
Putnam, which announced the hirings Tuesday, had $137 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
