Rydex Investments, a Chicago investment manager, introduced an alternative-investment fund of funds on Monday.

The Rydex Alternative Strategies Allocation Fund invests in alternative mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, including other Rydex funds, to give exposure to alternative asset classes and investment strategies such as absolute returns, commodities, currency arbitrage, managed futures, and real estate.
About 64% of financial professionals plan to increase their use of alternative investments, according to Rydex research.
Rydex had $16 billion of assets under management at Sept. 30.
