Banco Santander SA said that up to 35,000 people in the U.K. could have received other customers' details on their bank statements, the BBC reported on its website Thursday.
The report said that a printing error led to pages from other customers' statements appearing on paperwork sent to current account holders, with recipients receiving details of their own transactions and other people's as well. "We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and have taken immediate steps to correct this," a spokesman for Santander is quoted as saying.
