Star hires B of A's Moffett as executive vice president.

David M. Moffett is moving from the West Coast to become executive vice president and chief financial officer of Star Banc Corp., Cincinnati, effective next Monday.

He had been a senior vice president and assistant treasurer in the corporate treasury at BankAmerica Corp., San Francisco.

At Star Banc, Mr. Moffett replaces Timothy J. Fogarty, who had been acting chief financial officer since the resignation of Gust J. Totlis.

Mr. Fogart will now resume his previous duties with the corporation as senior vice president and a member of Star's managing committee.

Mr. Moffett joined BankAmerica in 1992 as a result of the merger with Security Pacific Corp., where he was senior vice president and director of corporate treasury. At BankAmerica, he was responsible for establishing and implementing treasury policy and strategy for the corporation's 300 subsidiaries worldwide.

He coordinated and directed each subsidiary's general financial management activities, including capital planning, treasury, asset sales, balance sheet restructuring, and risk management. Also he developed and implemented key strategic balance sheet, capital raising, and financing initiatives at the holding company level for BankAmerica.
