State Street Hires a Mutual Fund Exec

State Street Corp. hired Gunjan Kedia as an executive vice president in its U.S. investment servicing business.

She was an executive vice president of global product management and asset servicing for Bank of New York Mellon Corp. Before that she had been an executive director for Mellon Financial Corp.'s investment manager solution group and the director of its operations strategy group

Ms. Kedia will oversee the operational and financial aspects for several of State Street's premier mutual fund relationships, the company said Tuesday. In addition, she will assist in setting the strategic direction of its mutual fund servicing business.

State Street had $15.3 trillion of assets under custody and $1.9 trillion of assets under management as of June 30.
