State Street Corp. hired Caroline Carmichael as a senior vice president of its relationship management group.
Ms. Carmichael is based in Boston and will oversee the relationship of several of State Street's global customers. She will report to Robert Tarter, the executive vice president and head of relationship management.
She was a senior vice president and West Coast global sales and relationship manager for Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., where she worked for 12 years. Previously she had worked for the Slovak American and Czech American Enterprise Funds in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as for Citibank in France.
State Street, which announced the hiring last week, had $15.1 trillion of assets under custody and $2 trillion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
