Limra International Inc., a Windsor, Conn., wealth manager, hired Scott Stathis as a managing director and chief operating officer of Kehrer-Limra, its Princeton, N.J., bank brokerage research and consulting arm.
Mr. Stathis, who started at Limra International on July 1, will run the day-to-day operations of Kehrer-Limra, including research, consulting, and ongoing industry roundtables.
The company said he is a leading expert and consultant on using technology and training to increase sales in financial services. He launched a certification system designed to improve technology use and competence and boost technology returns on investment.
He is the president of E-Lancers, a strategic consulting and project management company he founded in 1998. E-Lancers will continue to operate as a unit of Kehrer-Limra.
From 2005 to 2007 he was the president of Unger Software Corp. Before that he had been the chief marketing officer at Cofiniti Inc., a provider of Web-based financial planning, sales, and marketing software.
Limra, which announced the hiring Tuesday, helps more than 800 insurance and financial services companies in 70 countries increase their marketing and distribution.
