Sun National Hires Freddie Mac Veteran for Key Risk Role

Sun National Bank in Vineland, N.J., has hired a former Freddie Mac executive as its chief risk officer.

Albert Celini will supervise credit, operational and market risk management for the unit of the $3.1 billion-asset Sun Bancorp.

Celini had been a vice president of regulatory affairs and strategy at Freddie Mac, His background includes a series of senior financial and risk-related posts at Ally Bank and 11 years as a controller at Citibank.

"Al joins an accomplished group of credit and risk professionals here at Sun and no doubt will contribute greatly to our overall goal of strengthening and growing the company," Thomas X. Geisel, Sun National Bancorp's chief executive, said in a press release.

Celini, a certified public accountant, began his career at Arthur Andersen.
