Tech Bytes: Software Developer Buys Dodge Group

FlexiInternational Software Inc., a financial and accounting software developer, has bought London-based Dodge Group for about $6 million in common stock and $754,000 in cash.

"The business strategies, market focus, and product portfolios of FlexiInternational and Dodge Group are highly synergistic," said Stefan R. Bothe, FlexiInternational's chairman and chief executive officer.

Alan Hambrook, Dodge's chief executive officer, will become a senior vice president in charge of international operations.

Robert Landry, retail banking group director for Newton, Mass.-based Tower Group, said the acquisition gives FlexiInternational a strong presence internationally and in the securities sector.
