Fidelity National, ING in Outsourcing Deal

ING Netherlands has agreed to outsource software development and support for its savings account products to Fidelity National Information Services Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla.

The multiyear deal, which the vendor announced Tuesday, expanded its agreement with the ING Group NV banking unit.

Fidelity said its international division would perform the work at its support centers in Amsterdam and Bangalore, India. Offshore services in India will be provided through Covansys Corp., a Farmington Hills, Mich., data processing outsourcer 29% owned by Fidelity.

On Thursday, Fidelity said it would provide flood certification and tracking services to National City Corp. of Cleveland.

Fidelity said its mortgage information services unit would provide guaranteed flood zone determinations that provide all required Federal Emergency Management Agency flood map and community participation status information to several National City business lines, including retail banking, home equity, and mortgages.

Digital Insight, Mercantile Expand Pact

Mercantile Bankshares Corp. of Baltimore renewed and expanded its online banking contract with Digital Insight Corp.

The Calabasas, Calif., vendor, which already provides online banking and bill payment for Mercantile's 11 banks, will also provide them with online statement presentment and check reordering services, an aggregation and funds transfer tool, and a tool that enables customers to download financial information into personal finance management software.

The banks will also be able to provide online customer support through co-browsing.

The companies did not say how long the contract would last, or how much it was worth.

Aldelo Signs Card Processing Agreement

The Newark, Calif., transaction processing company and independent sales organization Payment Processing Inc. is providing card processing services to restaurants that use payment terminals from Aldelo Systems Inc. of Sonora.

The deal was announced Tuesday. The two companies have worked together in the past to develop interoperable software.

Payment Processing works with numerous software companies to develop payments applications for the restaurant, storage space, and dry cleaning industries, among others.
