Investment Professionals Inc., a San Antonio investment manager, has announced the promotion of Jay McAnelly to executive vice president and director of national sales.

Mr. McAnelly oversees national sales and financial adviser recruiting, the company said on Thursday. Georgia Gertz is to succeed him as director of business development.
He has been a financial consultant at Investment Professionals for 11 years. The company has been privately owned since May 1992.
Investment Professionals manages investment programs nationally for banks and other financial services companies.
