Total System Services Inc. is now handling payment processing for the Dutch credit card company PaySquare BV.
TSYS, of Columbus, Ga., said Monday that PaySquare, of Utrecht, Holland, is its first merchant acquirer and issuer client to go live in Europe.
PaySquare began shifting its payment processing work to TSYS in October.
The card company issues Visa Inc. and MasterCard Inc. cards, and offers its more than 55,000 merchant clients acceptance of MasterCard, Visa, China UnionPay, and JCB Co. Ltd. cards.
Gaylon Jowers, the president of TSYS' international unit, said the company's payments services in Europe now cover "the entire value chain, from issuing to acquiring, as well as the regulatory, compliance and value-added services crucial to those managing a cards portfolio."
