Two Directors Join MassMutual Board

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Springfield has elected two new board members.

Kathleen A. Corbet, the former president of Standard & Poor's Corp., and Raymond W. LeBoeuf, the former chairman and chief executive of PPG Industries Inc., were elected unanimously to MassMutual's board, the insurer said Monday.

Ms. Corbet was S&P's president from April 2004 to September of last year. Before that she had been the chief executive officer of Alliance Capital Management Holding LP's fixed-income division.

Mr. LeBoeuf retired in July 2005 as the chairman and CEO of PPG Industries, where he had been an executive for 25 years.

MassMutual had $450 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2006.
