New York Life Insurance Co.'s New York Life International unit hired Vikram Sawhney as a senior vice president of business development and Susan Cartledge as a senior vice president of human resources.
Mr. Sawhney is in charge of business development, including overseeing strategic projects, partnership development, and mergers and acquisitions for its markets in Argentina, China, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
He was country head of business development for General Electric India. Previously he was a management consultant with A.T. Kearney, where he advised financial institutions in the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
Ms. Cartledge was director of human resources for International Business Machines Corp.'s global managed business process services division.
The hirings were announced Wednesday.
