UnionBanCal Corp. has launched a mobile banking application for commercial customers.
The San Francisco company said its Mobile Business Center, announced Tuesday, is intended for chief financial executives, treasury management and small-business owners. It is free to users and lets them view balances, approve wire transfers and schedule internal transfers. Clients can allow mobile access for an unlimited number of users and accounts.
UnionBanCal, a unit of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., said it plans to update the Mobile Business Center application this year with the ability to manage positive pay exceptions and initiate wire transfers from templates. Another plan is the app to have a feature to locate the nearest Union Bank branch.
The Mobile Business Center app runs on Apple Inc.'s iPhone, Research in Motion Ltd.'s BlackBerry and Google Inc.'s Android.
