U.S. Bancorp has announced the hiring of Timothy Leach to be the chief investment officer of its wealth management group.
Mr. Leach, 52, fills a newly created post that is responsible for building the group's investment management business, overseeing investment strategy and policies, and being spokesman for its investment management services, the company said Wednesday.
He will be based in Minneapolis and report to Mark Jordahl, the president of the U.S. Bank wealth management group.
Mr. Leach was an executive at U.S. Trust Co., a unit of Bank of America Corp. Previously, he held senior investment management posts at Qualivest Capital Management, formerly the investment management arm of a U.S. Bancorp predecessor company; ABN Amro Asset Management; and Wells Fargo Private Client Services.
The $242 billion-asset U.S. Bancorp is the parent company of U.S. Bank.
